Ministerial Decision 208/2011 establishes occupational safety and health standards for workplaces in Kuwait, covering ventilation, noise, PPE, and employer obligations.

Ministerial Decision 224/2014 prescribes mandatory safety signage standards for workplaces in Kuwait, specifying sign types, colours, and placement requirements.

Law No. 13 of 2020 establishes the General Fire Force (قوة الإطفاء العام) as a regular non-armed force replacing the General Fire Directorate, setting its mandate over firefighting, fire prevention, and rescue, plus its leadership, personnel, prevention-supervision and penalty regime. Decision No. 44 of 2020 issues the executive regulation of the General Fire Force Law 13/2020. It governs the force's military ranks, appointment/promotion and discipline of members, compensation, and — central to fire prevention — the fire-safety requirements for buildings and installations: firefighting equipment and engineering services, fire-truck access, lifts/escalators, and contractor licensing under the fire-safety and fire-prevention conditions (اشتراطات السلامة والوقاية من الحريق).
